When
retirement came along, like many others I found
I had some time to rekindle some dying embers
of my earlier life.
These embers in my case were ditty writing. I like a good laugh and I am sure
most people will agree that there is not a more enjoyable sound. Jokes make
people laugh, all I have done is put the jokes into verse, some are my own,
other jokes I have heard from friends,
from neighbours and from acquaintances. Jokes cover a vast area of subjects
and in many cases lend themselves to contain swear words, are rude and also
vulgar. By presenting the joke to rhyme and omitting the swearing, cutting
down the rudeness and vulgarity the humour remains in tact and in many cases
improves the product. See what you think. On the serious side of the pages I
write verse of Lincoln City, the county of Lincolnshire and experiences of
my own life. I hope you will find these interesting too.
